We have had the honor of celebrating the 13th edition of the National Biotechnology Award, an event that reaffirms the sector\u2019s commitment to scientific excellence, innovation, and the social impact of research.<\/p>\n
At ISDE, the organization sponsoring this award for the seventh consecutive year, we continue to strongly support initiatives that recognize talent and leadership in biotechnology, one of the strategic fields for the future of our country.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was inaugurated by Cristina L\u00f3pez, Director of Programs at ISDE, who highlighted the significance of this award as the most important in the sector in Spain.<\/p>\n
Next, Mart\u00edn Hern\u00e1ndez-Palacios Mart\u00edn-Neda<\/a> provided context on the origin and trajectory of the award, emphasizing its role within the scientific and biotechnological ecosystem.<\/p>\n The reading of the jury\u2019s report, on behalf of\u00a0ALPHABIOTECLEGAL \u00b7 Experts in Law + Biotechnology<\/a>,\u00a0led to one of the most notable moments of the event: the presentation of the award, carried out by Enrique de Ocio Segovia<\/a>, Director of Marketing, Communication, and Institutional Relations at ISDE, to Mr. Fernando Pel\u00e1ez, Director of the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO)<\/a>, in recognition of his outstanding career and contribution to oncology research.<\/p>\n The\u00a0laudatio, delivered by Jesus Perez Gil<\/a>, Professor of Biochemistry at the Complutense University of Madrid<\/a> and President of the College of Biologists, highlighted both the scientific and human dimensions of the awardee, before his closing remarks.<\/p>\n We would like to especially thank all attendees, collaborators, and ISDE Master\u2019s students, whose interest and participation strengthen the link between education, science, and innovation.<\/p>\n At ISDE, we continue to promote spaces for recognition and dialogue between the academic, scientific, and professional worlds.
